Walk a Mile In Your Shoes
Type of Activity: Processing / Perspective building
Props Needed: The shoes on your feet!
Kim Kickert shared this activity during a recent processing workshop. Thanks for sharing Kim! This is a great one for those long expeditionary programs and facilitators that don't like to carry a lot of extra weight in props!
Concept: Getting participants to think about others.
Process: Have each participant take off one of their shoes and throw it into the center of the circle.
Then have them each choose a shoe at random and then figure out whose shoe they have.
Go around the circle and have each person share why they would want to 'walk a mile in your shoes' about the person whose shoe they have. Then they can present that person their shoe back.
A great activity to talk about the positives in each person's life.
