T4T - Love What You Do...
Being passionate about your work is such an important principle that makes all the difference in the world. For me, I figure if I'm going to spend 40 or more hours a week doing something, it needs to be something that I love to do.
With speaking at 25+ conferences a year, I meet a lot of facilitators. It doesn't take long for me to spot the people who are passionate about what they do. Passion is an emotion that is almost impossible to keep inside. It's your enthusiasm, your motivation, your drive, and ultimately, your success. It does not go unnoticed and can be contagious!
The passion we bring to our work also rubs off on our participants. It's easy to follow a leader who is passionate about what they are doing. Even the most resistant participant can still be motivated by the enthusiasm you bring to the day. What keeps you passionate about your work?
I had a hard time picking just one quote for my newsletter this week, so I'll end this section with two more of my favorite quotes around passion:
When you're following your energy and doing what you want all the time, the distinction between work and play dissolves. ~Shakti Gawain, Pioneering Author & Teacher in the field of Personal Growth
If you follow your bliss, you put yourself on a kind of track that has been there all the while, waiting for you, and the life that you ought to be living is the one you are living. Wherever you are-if you are following your bliss, you are enjoying that refreshment, that life within you, all the time. ~Joseph Campbell, American Mythologist, Writer, and Lecturer
