Type of Activity: Spotting
Directions: Have the group partner up in similar body sizes. The objective is for two individuals to creatively and physically support one another as they move further and further apart from one another. Have the partners start by standing about 2 feet apart from each other. Have them put their arms into the air and connect hands together. Do not let them interlace their fingers together. Find a comfortable hand position that does not require lacing of the fingers. Have the partners, at a mutually agreeable moment, take a step backwards, away from each other, supporting each other's weight on their hands. This activity is called A-Frame because their bodies will create the capital letter A. Helpful hint for success is to keep the derrieres in and your arms up high. Have the partners step as far back as they can mutually support each other.
